Consistent Cutting Surface
To ensure a consistent cutting surface and exceptional strength and fatigue life, Alcon's sleeve anvils are made from 52100 alloy steel that’s through-hardened to 63/65 HRc and precision ground to 16 RMS surface finish on the OD with OD/ID concentricity specified to within .001” TIR.
